“Soros Fund” to launch ad campaign targeting “black, Latino, and Native Americans”
A Soros-backed nonprofit will launch an ad campaign aimed at “black and Latino, Native American, and other vulnerable populations” in response to the election, the company said in a statement on Monday.
The ad campaign, titled “Black, Latino and Native American,” will run during the upcoming election season.
Soros has been critical of President-elect Donald Trump and his campaign.
“I’m proud to be a part of a campaign by one of the most powerful people in America who has the power to impact the outcome of this election,” Soros said in his statement.
The nonprofit will be working with social media, media-buying companies, and political groups across the country to “raise awareness of the impact of the 2016 election,” according to the statement.
Soros, a Hungarian-born philanthropist, has a long history in the American political arena, and has funded several campaigns over the years, including those targeting Democrats and Democratic-leaning voters in the 2016 presidential election.
